We live among different kinds of people. It feels wonderful to believe that the people around you will always understand you, support you, appreciate you and never hurt or disappoint you. But life is not a fairy tale. It is real life. And sooner or later, in different situations, every person begins to wonder who the other person truly is.

  • A soulmate – or someone with whom you will never truly feel happy?
  • An incredible companion for life – or simply another lesson you were meant to learn?
  • Your other half – or a twist of fate?
  • The perfect business partner – or a constant source of stress?
  • The employee you have been looking for – or your next major headache?
  • The coworker you will gladly turn to for help – or the person who will make your workplace feel impossible?

Couples Who May Find It Very Difficult to Be Together

The Red person is a source of life, a symbol of strength, action and passion.
My colour - Azure. Sensitivity, subtlety, inner peace.

Red and Azure

Red and Azure are one of the most difficult and painful combinations. At first, the Azure person may be fascinated by Red’s strength, confidence, decisiveness and fearless approach to life. Red, in turn, is drawn to Azure’s sensitivity, depth and mystery. But very quickly it becomes clear that they move through life at completely different speeds.

The Red person wants everything fast: clear answers, action, decisions and honesty. They push, ask, demand and sometimes do not even realize how much they are hurting the other person. The Azure person, meanwhile, needs time, quiet and the chance to understand their own feelings first. The more Red pushes, the more Azure withdraws, becomes silent and retreats into themselves. And the more Azure pulls away, the more Red grows angry and feels ignored.

The biggest problem is that both people begin to feel flawed and misunderstood. Over time, the Azure person starts to believe that they are too weak, too slow, too sensitive, that something is wrong with them. They begin to hide their true feelings, adapt, and live at a pace that does not belong to them. Red feels as if they can never truly “reach” their partner, as if everything is too complicated, too quiet and too unclear.

In relationships like this, the feeling of safety often disappears. The Azure person lives in constant tension and fear of being misunderstood or rejected, while the Red person lives in a constant state of frustration and disappointment.

My colour: Blue. Blue ones need peace, quiet, and love.
If you are an Orange person, you are a brave person who likes adventures.

Blue and Orange

Blue and Orange are one of those couples where, at first, it feels like you have finally found what was missing in your life. The Blue person is deeply drawn to Orange’s energy, courage, lightness, sense of humor, spontaneity and fearless way of moving through the world. To the Orange person, Blue seems fascinating – deep, mysterious and unlike anyone else.

But after the first excitement fades, it quickly becomes clear that they understand love and closeness in completely different ways. For the Blue person, the most important things are meaningful conversations, peace, emotional intimacy and the feeling that their partner truly sees and understands them. They long for a slow, safe connection and time spent quietly together. Orange lives differently. They need movement, excitement, people, new experiences and spontaneity. They do not want to spend hours talking about their feelings, because to them life is meant to be lived, not endlessly analyzed.

The more the Blue person tries to slow things down, create closeness and bring the relationship deeper, the more the Orange person begins to feel trapped. To them, their partner seems too serious, too sensitive, someone who takes everything too personally. Meanwhile, the Blue person feels increasingly lonely. It hurts them that their partner is always rushing somewhere, joking, changing the subject and avoiding deeper conversations. Little by little, they begin to feel that their feelings simply do not matter to Orange.

The biggest problem is that both of them begin to feel unloved precisely when they are trying their hardest. Blue tries to create intimacy, but to Orange it feels heavy and overwhelming. Orange tries to bring more joy, excitement and ease into the relationship, but Blue experiences it as superficial and emotionally empty.

If both people are very mature, they can teach each other a great deal. Orange can show Blue that life needs more lightness and adventure, while Blue can teach Orange that peace and emotional depth are also forms of happiness. But most often, this becomes a relationship in which one person is always chasing, while the other is always trying to escape.

The people around us are not only those with whom we share feelings. It is just as important to know how well you get along with your business partner or coworker.

The Green people are a perfect example that you do not need money to be happy.
The Red person is a source of life, a symbol of strength, action and passion.

One of the most difficult business pairings is Green and Red.

At first, it may seem like the perfect combination. The Red person drives everything forward, has endless ideas, makes decisions quickly, is not afraid of risk and always wants growth. The Green person seems reliable, calm and thoughtful. They communicate well with people, know how to support a team and create stability.

But in everyday business life, their pace and way of approaching things are completely different. Red wants speed, clear answers and results, and believes everything should happen now. Green wants time to think, to work calmly and without pressure, to discuss things and find the best solution. They dislike conflict and feel uncomfortable when someone pushes or criticizes them.

After a while, the Red person begins to feel that Green is too slow, too soft, not ambitious enough and holding the business back. Red starts becoming more controlling, demanding and forceful. Meanwhile, the Green person feels unappreciated, exhausted and constantly as though they are doing something wrong. They begin to stay quiet, give in, but inside they are building up anger and resentment.

The biggest problem is that in business they often stop fighting about ideas and start fighting about how things should be done. Red wants to lead and cannot understand why their partner does not simply follow. Green no longer wants to feel pressured and begins to resist in quiet ways – by delaying, by not saying everything openly, or by slowly losing motivation altogether.

Business relationships like this often end with one person feeling as if they are carrying everything on their shoulders, while the other feels constantly criticized and never good enough. If both people divide responsibilities very clearly, they may still be able to work together. But most often, this is one of the hardest pairings not only in business, but in life as well.

My colour: Violet. Violet people are often walking down their path of life alone.
If you are an Orange person, you are a brave person who likes adventures.

Violet and Orange – One of the Most Difficult Pairings to Work Together

The Violet person works by searching for meaning, ideas and intuition. It is important for them to understand why they are doing something. They like having their own space, working in their own way, thinking things through for a long time and looking for the perfect solution. They dislike superficiality, rushing and people who talk a lot without truly thinking deeply about the details.

The Orange person is the complete opposite. They are fast, spontaneous and action-oriented. They love people, excitement and new ideas, but usually want everything to happen right here and right now. What matters most to them is energy, momentum, impact and the freedom to keep moving. They do not want to spend a long time analyzing, questioning or going deeper.

At first, they may even like each other. To Orange, Violet seems incredibly intelligent, interesting and different. Violet may briefly be fascinated by Orange’s energy and courage. But once they begin working together, it quickly starts to feel as if they are speaking completely different languages.

To Violet, Orange seems superficial, chaotic, irresponsible and far too loud. It feels as though Orange starts everything but finishes nothing, promises a lot but never truly thinks things through. To Orange, Violet seems too slow, too complicated, someone who makes everything harder, constantly doubts and keeps holding the process back.

The biggest problem is that their strengths do not complement each other – they irritate each other. When a quick decision needs to be made, Violet still wants more time to think, while Orange has already moved on and done three other things. When the situation requires focus, structure and patience, Orange becomes restless and distracted, while Violet withdraws even further into themselves.

In this kind of partnership, both people often end up feeling that they are working with someone who simply does not understand them at all. Violet feels forced to keep explaining things that seem completely obvious to them. Orange feels as though they are standing next to someone who makes everything more difficult and drains all of their energy. Over time, they usually do not just misunderstand each other – they become deeply exhausting for one another.

When do people usually realize that they may not be right for each other?

  • When they travel together. One person wants everything planned, peaceful and predictable, while the other wants spontaneity, adventure and constant change. Trips like this often leave both people disappointed.
  • When they live together. One person needs order, quiet, clear rules and routine, while the other needs freedom, mess, people, noise and constant change.
  • When they are raising children. One tends to be stricter, wanting rules and discipline, while the other is more likely to be gentle, understanding and permissive. Over time, they stop arguing only with each other and begin pulling the children into those conflicts as well.
  • When they manage money together. One person prefers saving, security and a clear plan, while the other lives in the moment, likes spending, taking risks and making impulsive purchases.
  • When they deal with conflict. One person wants to talk immediately and solve everything right away, while the other needs time, silence and space to be alone. Then one feels as though the other is running away, while the other feels pressured and overwhelmed.
  • When they interact with friends and family. One person loves being around lots of people, going out, attending parties and constantly socializing, while the other needs quiet and rest after those situations.
  • When they build a business or work on a project together. One person is focused on speed, results and action, while the other cares more about quality, feelings, depth and details. Both end up feeling frustrated, because they believe the other person is only getting in the way.
  • When they build intimacy. One person needs closeness, words, emotional openness and tenderness, while the other finds it difficult to open up or expresses love in a completely different way. As a result, both people can end up feeling rejected.
  • When they spend their free time. One person relaxes by being around people, trying new activities and traveling, while the other finds peace in quiet, home, nature or simply spending time together.
  • When they make important life decisions. Where to live, whether to change jobs, whether to have children, how to spend money. One person decides quickly and boldly, while the other needs time and the reassurance of feeling safe. In moments like these, the differences between two people become impossible to ignore.

Even people who seem completely different and, at first glance, entirely wrong for each other can build a beautiful relationship or work together successfully.

Most of the time, the problem is not that either person is bad or “wrong.” The problem is that they speak different emotional languages. Once you discover your own personality color and the other person’s, it becomes much easier to understand why they behave the way they do, what they need, what hurts them, and what their goals and priorities in life truly are. Then you no longer need to try to change each other. Instead, you can learn to understand, accept your differences and create a connection in which both people feel understood, valued and happy.
