How Personal Colour Was Created

More than a decade of observation, exploration, and independent work.

Personal Colour is an original personality exploration system created to help people better understand themselves and one another.

Its story began with personal observations that gradually led to a deeper interest in human personality, temperament, values, and behaviour. Over time, observing and analysing the characteristics of friends, family members, and acquaintances helped shape the first personality colour descriptions.

Later, discovering the books of Swedish author Thomas Erikson, who explores behavioural differences through a four-colour model, provided further inspiration to explore the subject. However, Personal Colour continued to develop independently, based on personal observations and accumulated experience.

Why Ten Personality Colours?

Human personalities are remarkably diverse, and no colour-based system can capture every individual difference.

Personal Colour deliberately focuses on ten main colours. This approach makes it easier to explore differences in personality traits, values, temperament, and communication styles while keeping the system clear, accessible, and practical.

From Colour Descriptions to a Personality Quiz

Over time, the idea emerged to turn years of observations into a personality exploration tool that anyone could use.

This led to the creation of an original quiz in which answers are associated with ten personality colours. The quiz helps people discover which colour characteristics most closely match their responses and explore those traits in greater detail.

The questions, personality colour descriptions, and answer-scoring principles were developed specifically for this system. The online quiz, including its programming, functionality, and design, was also custom-built for the project.

Personal Colour is not an AI-generated personality quiz or a copy of another personality model. It is the result of independent creative and technical work.

Today, we use artificial intelligence to create short visual stories that illustrate how different personality colours interact and understand one another. However, the foundation of the system, its descriptions, and the quiz itself were developed by people, not artificial intelligence.
